Anything that pops out from the ground or drops down from trees in large amounts:
ANY form of devourer.
ANY form of spider.
These buggers usually have the effect of "run, stop, run, stop...geez does this never end!?" ...instead of "aah look at that red patch..circle circle..attack!".

LOL
I can accept getting nothing from a group of smites while everyone else in the group gets something good.
But i realy hate them when it's my turn to get a drop and all i get is "3 piles of glitering dust".....argggggggg
For me the monster that takes the cake is Glint.
Not only it's hard to kill her, but when she finaly tears your
group to pieces she starts talking trash. I hate her!!

I hate the Damned clerics. As a lvl 20 Warrior I went to Beetletun to fight the hordes of undead. My party of henchmen was wiped out and all that remained was me.
I only had left this damned cleric, and two undead monks. I couldn't kill any of them. The cleric would heal the monks as I tried to kill them, and if I tried to kill the cleric he did reversal of fortune and also spammed heals on himself, as well as the monks.
They couldn't kill me either, so we were at a standoff for ten minutes or so. Eventually, I had to go since it was late and I needed to go since I had work in the morning. But wow, this guy shut me down with gash, gal. gash, sever artery, for great justice, res, healing signet, whirlwind, and fear me.
Nevertheless, when I redo this quest,I will try out some other skills to shut this dude down.
As a side note, what Warrior/Elementalist skills are good for overcoming these guys?

Mergoyles annoyed the crap outta me with their "Spirit Shackles"!
Also, Summit Beastmasters and anything with Giant Stomp.
And those enemies who you can't see bc they popup (except wurms, I like wurms).

Any group of giants. Multiple Giant stomps is probably the msot iritating thing in the game.
Anything in an explorable area with enchantment removal aswell...they ruin my day when Im trying to run solo from one area to another.

Those elementals or Drakes in the desert that love to Knockdown + Aftershock. Bloody scary as an elementalist or when you're trying to cure as a monk.
A pack of stampeding Giants. Chain Stomping a group while other mobs poke away at you till near death... no fun >.>
Ether Seals! They can be the worst to kill if you have no actual good physical damage )*>,<)

Finally ... finallly someone actually got the gusto to post it up! Cheers Porkchop ...
for me I can't say Glint as I'm an interrupter and glint pales in comparison and should really shut her mouth before I give it to her again ... worms ... my guildies love taking em down .. throw up a protective meat sheild ... and kick the crap outta them. How else you getting well of power?
In all honesty I'd say I hate the massive amounts of ice imps in ice flow ... not only is there like 30 ish ... (they are that hard, just annoying) ... all casting various maelstroms ... I leave one maelstrom and jump into another ... very very annoying I'd say. Spark of the titan too for there damage is a pain. I would say rurik ... but he was more an annoyance while he was on my team then anything.

Azure Shadow and Scarabs are by far the most annoying since they have the highest unexpected ganking potential
there is this one guy named "[something] The Enduring" or something like that on Thunderhead. he's pretty annoying in a "just die already!" kinda way
oh yeah, Spirit Shepherds are also extremely annoying

Hydras in the crystal desert.
Even after ascension, these things are impossible to handle well. If your group scatters too much, the monks can't heal everyone. If you attack in a well-formed group, they all will spike damage you with meteor shower, and 4/6 of your group is down to a sliver of health in less then a second.
Sometimes, if you are patient, they'll split enough that you can pull just 1 or 2. But, all too often, you are fighting 4, and then a group of 3 that patrol stumble into the battle also. That's death for any group.
